From one bed city centre apartments to large country homes set in acres of land or family homes close to parks and schools you will find what you are looking for in Coventry.


Below is a small selection of housing areas in Coventry to provide an indication of housing opportunities in the city, there are plenty of others to choose from!

City centre

City centre living is thriving in Coventry. The trend for loft style living and apartment life has really taken off and there is a wide choice, from one bed to penthouse apartments. A city centre base offers a 24/7 experience with all the shops and leisure facilities you need right on your doorstep.


Earlsdon

Earlsdon is only 10 minutes walk from the city centre and is popular with young professionals and students. Famous for watch making in the 1800s, Earlsdon today has a thriving high street with shops, bars, restaurants and some small specialist stores. It has the added bonus of being within walking distance of the city's War Memorial park, an ideal spot for a bike ride or afternoon stroll. It also has its own library, theatre, rugby club, and golf and tennis clubs and is close to the railway station and well serviced by buses making it a convenient place to live.

Housing is varied, ranging from 2 bedroom terraced homes to impressive 5 bedroom Victorian, family homes.

Coundon

Coundon is particularly popular with families. It has good public transport links and easy access to the A45. The near-by Coundon Wedge and Lakeview Park offer a haven of green space to enjoy with footpaths and bridleways. There are a variety of shops as well as a cinema. Coundon Court secondary school is regarded as one of the best in the city.

Houses in this area are mainly post war 3 bedroom family homes, alongside a selection of newer apartments.

Allesley Village

Allesley Village is a leafy suburb that is very popular due to its countryside village feel within the city. It retains many aspects of village life with village shops, pubs, and primary school as well as a riding school. Most of the village is a conservation area. The A45 is adjacent to the village, providing a quick and easy link to Birmingham, Rugby and London.

There are a variety homes in Allesley Village ranging from cottages and period properties to post war family homes.

Finham and Styvechale

Finham and Styvechale are mainly residential suburbs in the south of the city bordering the village of Baginton and with easy access to Coventry's airport. Styvechale borders the city's War Memorial park and is where you will find some of the city's more exclusive housing. Both areas have good transport links and a variety of local shops and amenities. This is also a popular area with families as the local secondary school, Finham Park, has a very good reputation.

Housing in this area is varied, ranging from pre war family homes to up market properties.

Kenilworth

Kenilworth Warwickshire originally grew around the town's majestic castle, and many original buildings still exist. Today Kenilworth is a large and busy town, home to around 25,000 people, very much regarded as a dormitory town for commuters to Coventry, Birmingham and Leamington Spa.

The town has managed to maintain its community feel and along with its reputation for good schools, it is a great destination for families. The shopping area is set to undergo a major face-lift with a host of new names opening soon including Waitrose.

Close links to the M40, Coventry and Leamington Spa; make it a very convenient place to live. The property mix ranges from small thatched cottages in picturesque settings to luxury family homes.

Leamington Spa

Leamington Spa Warwickshire is an elegant regency town, famous for its stunning Georgian and Victorian town houses and architecture. Named after the River Leam that runs through the town, it is noted for its fine parks and gardens.

Modern Leamington Spa is home to around 50,000 people and is a popular and fashionable place for shopping with vibrant night-time entertainment. It is popular with students from the University of Warwick. The town has undergone much development over recent years and investment continues to pour into the area. Leamington is close to the M40 and the A46 links it to Coventry. It is served by the Chiltern, London Midland and Virgin Cross-country railway lines.

Housing is still seen as exclusive and is very popular with professionals of all ages. Ranging from converted apartments in town houses to 4 and 5 bedroom larger properties.

Warwick Castle

Warwick

Warwick Warwickshire is steeped in history with a stunning castle that attracts visitors from around the world. The town centre is famed for its architecture, some of which dates back to medieval times.Warwick lies on the River Avon and is home to around 26,000 people. It's a fashionable place to live and its proximity to the M40, A46 and Warwick Parkway Station make it popular for commuters to London and Birmingham.

Schools in Warwick have a good reputation. Warwick School is reputed to be one of the oldest public schools in England. Warwick has many specialist and independent shops, restaurants and pubs.It also hosts many renowned festivals ranging from the Warwick Folk Festival to poetry, classical and contemporary music events.

Housing is varied and boasts a variety of exclusive period homes, cottages and modern family houses and city living style apartments.




Rugby

Rugby Warwickshire is a market town with a population of approx 91,000. Rugby was very much a traditional country town until the introduction of the railway in the 19th century when the London to Birmingham line was constructed around the town. To this day it remains an important railway junction. Home of Rugby Football and Rugby School - one of England's oldest and most prestigious schools. Rugby state schools also have a good reputation.

Today, Rugby town centre includes numerous restaurants, pubs and shopping centres. In fact, it is noted for its large number of pubs, having the second highest number per square mile in England.

Property in the town is varied, ranging from Victorian period property in the town centre to large family homes on the many new developments that have grown up over the last few years. Transport links are excellent, with several main roads and motorways nearby and of course the West Coast Main Line Railway service to Coventry, Birmingham and London.

Nuneaton and Bedworth

Nuneaton and Bedworth Warwickshire are situated in the north of the county and offer more affordable housing options. The towns are home to a combined population of around 120,000 and have seen their population grow in recent years mainly due to their close proximity to the motorway network. Together, they offer a range of new and redeveloped homes and a good choice of post war homes, which are ideal for family living. As the towns are growing and investment continues, housing choice is becoming more varied.
