The Jaguar Arena opens in August 2005. A multipurpose Arena complete with exhibition halls, casino and health and fitness facilities, it will also be the new home to Coventry City Football Club. Also on the sporting front the new home to Coventry Rugby Club opened this year and the Alan Edward Higgs Centre which includes national-class facilities for netball, plus major community sports facilities and football academy will be open by the end of the year.
Coventry is also home to a wide range of sporting clubs catering for all tastes including cricket, swimming, golf, cycling, netball, tennis and more. For people who like to take a more leisurely approach to relaxing, Coventry offers a great choice of restaurants, bars and cafes and boasts the longest outdoor art gallery along its five and a half mile canal. |
