The revitalisation of the city centre is a priority commitment for Coventry City Council and CV One. There is currently £4 billion of investment taking place in the city centre and across the city as a whole. Many developments are now complete or nearing completion, but new and exciting plans are being progressed to continue the revitalisation of other key areas.

The Coventry Development Plan and the Community Plan 2 set the frameworks for the regeneration of the city. But a number of city centre strategies have also evolved through public consultation, which are all about raising the profile and quality of the environment. They are having a considerable impact on all our developments, which are incorporating their various innovative ideas and include Urban Design, Lighting and Streetscape Signing and Information.

A diverse range of projects and initiatives and the recent injection of £25 million by the council are delivering the exciting resurgence of our city centre. Some projects are specifically creating the physical linkages between our major landmark schemes while others are promoting local character and distinctiveness.
